About ARRS

The mission of ARRS is to improve health through a community committed to advancing knowledge and skills in radiology.

North America’s first radiological society, the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) remains dedicated to the advancement of medicine through the profession of medical imaging and its allied sciences. An international forum for progress in radiology since the discovery of the x-ray, ARRS maintains its mission of improving health through a community committed to advancing knowledge and skills through the ARRS Annual Meeting, the world’s longest continuously published radiology journal—American Journal of Roentgenology, Roentgen Ray ReviewARRS Symposia, free-access multimedia from our Global Partner Societies, as well as awarding scholarships via The Roentgen Fund®.

Founded in 1907, AJR is one of the specialty’s leading peer-reviewed journals, publishing clinically oriented content across all imaging subspecialties and modalities relevant to radiologists’ daily practice. Its rapid review and publication of critically important original research, reviews, clinical perspectives, editorials, and other short reports lead to AJR’s consistently high rankings among journals in the field.

Headlined by multi-day Categorical Courses, the ARRS Annual Meeting also features instructional sessions, scientific and educational presentations, case review tracks, and commercial exhibitors. Category 1 CME credits are available on an hour-for-hour basis. All ARRS members receive discounted registration fees.

Since 1990, The Roentgen Fund has granted millions of dollars to hundreds of imaging professionals for both research pursuits and professional development. Today, through six vital scholarship and fellowship programs, the generosity of The Roentgen Fund’s donors is channeled to every corner of the globe, ensuring the development of the next generation of innovators and leaders in the field.
